Retro design is trending in car land, but this Renault R5 Turbo 3E Showcar is a definite win. It is meant as a tribute to the Renault 5 Turbo and also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the very first Renault 5. As you can read in the title, this car is fully electric and packs a whopping 380 HP on the rear wheels. This is not surprising when I tell you this car is meant as a driftcar.
The car can accelerate 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h. The just weighs 980 kilograms and carries a 42 KWh battery, which charges up in just 2 hours. The press release says nothing about the actual range of this car, but you can probably have at least 15 minutes of drifting fun, before it needs another 2 hours of charging.
