Toyota have revealed their fifth generation Prius today, with some interesting specifications and images showing the impressive design of the new model. They have taken the iconic teardrop design to a new extreme, resulting in a more then ever futuristic shape.
The new Prius comes in two versions, namely as a standard hybrid and also as a plug-in hybrid, with the latter featuring a 2.0 liter engine. In combination with the electric drivetrain, this can deliver a cool 223hp. This is just as much as the Lexus is300h, which features a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine. So there’s progress in that department.

The new Toyota Prius will be available this winter already for the HEV and early 2023 for the PHEV.
