Quite hot on the heels of his debut solo album kehai, Japanese producer Nerve released a new EP last week. Notari represents an even deeper dive into the drone genre, which he set out to make his own. All of the five tracks on this EP are indeed even less eccentric than the ones on kehai and once again he managed to create long stretched track, which are richly layered landscapes of sound, without even a touch of darkness. It’s perfect music to meditate to, but would also sound great as the soundtrack of any movie, or better yet, your own thoughts.
